We are sometimes asked:

We don't think it is enough to do a course - you need to be working in your profession. So this is what we think:

A professional is generally agreed to be someone who has:

  • practical experience

  • theoretical training (this could be a degree or other qualification or a modern apprenticeship)

  • membership of a professional association

Clients understand that their broker, surveyor or designer has the support of a professional association. Check your professional is a member on our website listings. If they are not a member of a professional association they may not have PI insurance (to protect you as well as them), or for Brokers they may not have a Client Account to keep client monies separate from their own trading accounts.

ABYA and YDSA both hold frequent events. See the individual websites for more details and booking forms. Aspiring members welcome!
