YBDSA sees its origins in 1912 – a very different world to today. J Class yachts were only just arriving on the scene and GRP was not dreamed of!
YBDSA is proud of its members’ reputation for high standards. All ABYA and YDSA members have their documentation scrutinised before they are elected into membership. A Continuous Professional Development scheme assists members to develop and improve their standards. All members must hold Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
YBDSA professional services include:
- Registration
- Certification
- Advice to buyers and sellers
- Liaison with other marine organisations
- Liaison with Government and other authorities
- Advice to members on current developments
