PCA

The Professional Charter Association

The Professional Charter Association was formed in 1991 by a group of professional charter skippers and vessel owners whose principal activity is skippered charter in UK domestic waters for both the corporate and private sectors.

Over the past few years the corporate entertainment industry has seen sustained growth, with the yachting sector directly benefiting. With an increased market comes an increased number of providers and a more pivotal role for the PCA.

Through the PCA's affiliation with the YBDSA, PCA members benefit from a more informed source for government legislation and charter regulations, a stronger voice in representations to statutory bodies and direct access to the YBDSA as a Certifying Authority and to its surveyor members for Code of Practice Compliance Examinations. All PCA vessels are coded under the appropriate MCA Code.
